DonorSearch Integration
This user guide is to help users understand how we integrate DonorSearch, a third-party platform that provides donor data for prospect research and wealth screening.
This document outlines how our product integrates with DonorSearch, setting up the integration, what you can expect from it, and how it works.
1. Accessing DonorSearch Data
Access to DonorSearch Data
Momentum customers have exclusive access to DonorSearch data through our dashboard.
Please note that this access is limited to the data provided by DonorSearch and does not include access to the DonorSearch ProspectView Online product.
If you're interested in exploring additional DonorSearch functionality, we encourage you to reach out to your customer success manager.
API Integration
Our product integrates with DonorSearch data via an API integration. This integration is delivered out-of-the-box to all Momentum customers. Your customer success manager can enable access to you at no extra charge for most standard portfolios.
DonorSearch data is available only through our dashboard and is not accessible through our API.
If you are an existing DonorSearch customer, please notify your account manager and provide them with your API key.
Dashboard Access
Once enabled, you can access DonorSearch data directly through our dashboard. This user-friendly interface ensures that you can easily navigate and leverage the insights to inform your fundraising strategies.

To view DonorSearch data, navigate to the Donor Tab within our dashboard. Under the "Actions" section, you will find access to the valuable insights provided by DonorSearch.
2. Data Fields and Usage
Available Data Fields
By default, DonorSearch data provides the following key fields:
Estimated Capacity: An estimation of a donor's potential giving capacity. Estimated 10% of the individuals net worth, presented as a number, could be donated over a 5 year pledge period.
Historical Gifts: The total amount donated to philanthropic organizations by this donor across a total number of visible gifts.
Largest Gift: Size of the donor’s largest historical gift, made to any organization.
Real Estate Holdings: The number of properties owned or sold by the donor.

3. Data Update Frequency
Regular Data Updates
DonorSearch data is updated on a monthly basis for all existing portfolio members. This ensures that you have access to the latest insights as you engage with your donors and plan your fundraising strategies.
Expedited Updates
In scenarios where extremely recent data is relevant, expedited data updates can be requested. If you require more frequent updates, please contact your customer success manager to explore this option.
